The aim of this service is to ensure that additional or replacement vehicle keys are not provided to criminals.
A service is also available for recording and tracking major vehicle component parts and other security codes - e.g. for airbags, immobilisers and locking wheel nuts.

The unique Retainagroup security code marked into vehicle windows or on any item of value, can be checked via www.ISRcodecheck.com at any time of the day or night.
This website provides a simple method by which law enforcement officers and/or potential purchasers of marked and registered vehicles or other assets, can check if the item has been reported as stolen. The system comprises a simple screen where the enquirer is asked to enter the unique code to check the status of a vehicle/asset.
The immediate response to the enquirer will state either 'This etch code is not currently showing as stolen or written off' or 'This etch code is currently reported as stolen or written off' and the request and response will be recorded in the appropriate ISR record, to establish an appropriate "Audit Trail".
If the enquirer wants to check if a vehicle has been cloned, by submitting the VIN as well as the etch code, they will receive the response either 'The etch code matches the VIN on the ISR' or if the vehicle has been cloned 'The etch code does not match the VIN on the ISR'. Again, the request and response will be recorded on the ISR record for audit purposes.
If required, a service for checking via SMS can also be made available.
