Retainagroup’s International Security Register as an aid to investigation
The success or failure of an investigation, criminal or otherwise, often depends on the speed with which police can trace the owner of property. Retainagroup are proud of their proven track record in assisting police when called on to do so.
In order to find out more about any Retainagroup marked item, simply call the contact telephone number displayed with the security code. An ISR operator will take your call 24-hours a day, 365-days a year. Be ready to provide the security code marked on the item, a description of the item and any other serial or registration numbers known (if available). You will also have to provide your own details including police force and station to which you are attached and a recognised police phone number. Once a check has been made on the information supplied against our database, a return call will be made to your force normally within a few minutes. However, we can provide real-time responses to enquiries under certain circumstances. For further details of how this service is provided contact Michael Hinchliffe as below.

Police Portal
Police officers are also able to access the ISR data by using the ‘Police Portal'. This is a free service that allows police to check the identity and status of suspect vehicles on line and is particularly useful when dealing with complex or multi-vehicle investigations. Part VRMs, VINs or etch codes can be checked and in addition there is a built-in post-enquiry response providing automatic notification, should further information come to light in respect of the original enquiry. Officers wishing to make use of this facility will require a 'pnn' email address and should contact Retainagroup as shown below under 'Police Liaison'."

‘Polexam’
Retainagroup sponsor the POLEXAM scheme. This is a process by which a rung vehicle is marked in both overt and covert locations, recorded on the PNC with a POLEXAM flag and registered on the ISR. The objective of the scheme is to assist police by identifying previously rung vehicles that subsequently come into police possession. For further information contact Michael Hinchliffe as below.
